Both Zagat-To-Go and Google Maps do NOT work on the Cingular 8800, and this is after a fresh install. Does anyone have any suggestions? The RIM folks are under the impression that there is a simple lack of 3rd party s'ware support; they also admitted that Cingular at the last second said NO to Blackberry Maps. I love the 8800 but am dissapointed that Google Maps and Zagat To Go do NOT load, and that Blackberry Maps is not available or possible for the Cingular 8800.

Zagat works fine for me and we have already found a link for Google Maps which works.

Maybe you blocked the firewall. What error message are you getting.

FWIW, I also had Zagat running but find it worthless. they need the ability to allow you to do an advance search and let it come up by distance to you without having to open every entry to see it is on the other side of the state.

Agree. It's such a shame that Zagat ignores requests for a "thin" version of their site - instead depending on a clunky application that only shows a fraction of the Zagat-rated restaurants.
