Bedtime mode?
Please Login to Remove!
Someone on the vodafone UK forum has said there is some kind of bedtime mode that switches off the flashing LED etc? I can't see that there is a way for the phone to know to switch the led off, unless you tell it to!
It would be cool though!

If you go into the profiles menu, you should have access to the 'night' profile. If you select advanced, you can customize the settings further to suit your needs

that's what I did. I made a new profile called "sleeping" where everthing is really low volume (or none) and no LED lights. (AND NO VIBRATIONS! GOD THAT'S WORSE THAN HIGH VOLUME!)

Could it be a reference to the Auto On/Off feature?
Options / Auto On/Off
select the window during which your blackberry turns on and off automatically both during the week or at week ends.

The 'Off' profile does all that - turns off all notifications and the LED. No need to create a new profile for that....

Thx for this tip. I never ventured using this profile - and got one question.
Is there a way to turn off the LED during the day? (is this a profile issue / setting adjustment?)
One of my customers asked me this the other day and I thought this setting was in the email options. (no- it is not there)

To turn off just the LED turing the day, then you would need to create a new profile and set the Repeat Notification to 'None'.
You would then have to switch to this profile during the day.

hahaha, there is no bedside mode on the device, or under the clock settings.
Profiles > either chose quiet or phone only or design your own.

ahhh, yes there is !
i had a test unit and saw it with my own eyes....look up Kevin @ CB review or BGR they mention it as well.
bed side or sleep mode or something like that
the screen goes dimmer, radio is off when placed in dock or attached to charger....like a bedside digital clock....i liked the flip clock mode...very retro.

There is a 'standby' mode. Is that what you're referring to?

Go to Clock ---MENU, bedside mode! Its really good. Dims screen, turns of flash and basically turns it into a bedside clock overnight!

Ahhhh....a Bold feature.
See, us US people don't know of such things since AT&T can't get their heads out of....well, nevermind. They haven't released it here yet
