Is the HSB820 different than the HS820? I have an HS820 and it pairs to the 7290 with no problem.

Sorry, my eyes are going bad... It is the hs820. When I run the search for device on the 7290 it does not recognize the headset. I get the no device found error"

What am I doing wrong? On the BB I click Add Device, On the headset I click the large button, the blue light blinks. The BB runs and the No new device found displays. Are there any tricks? I removed the battery to reset, but still no go.

RTM... Try holding the large phone button on the headset for 5-6 secs until the blue light is solid (pairing mode) then have the BB search for BT devices.

I was not holding the button long enough on the headset, but what is the pairing code?

I've heard that complaint regarding Moto headsets. I think it could also be a tower transfer, but if "every person" is telling you this, it is probably the headset.

My advice, return the moto if you can and get the plantronics voyager 510. It's the best headset I have ever used period.

I have a Motorola HS820 paired with a Verizon 7250. I hear no echo now or have ever. The people listening to me do not hear one either and as a matter of fact there have been a couple of people that hear so well that they do not believe it is a headset. So I am proof that is not everyone. I would imagine that it is not paired properly or that it is a tower problem. I would buy another one immediately without hesitation.

I can try that. Swap the unit, maybe it is bad.. I do like the size of the 820.

My wife gave me her HS820, but my 7290 can't seem to see it. Even though she has deleted the device from her 7290.

Any ideas how I can switch the headset to work with my BB?

You have to pair it to the BB.
