Default Voicemail indicator icon

Please Login to Remove!

I have the dreaded "ghost voicemail" icon with "10 new Voicemails" on my home screen for the first time on my 9550 this morning (I used to get them often on my 9630).

I tried -

1. Battery pull - no luck
2. Left myself a voicemail & then deleted the VM - still no luck

Is the only recourse re-loading the OS like I used to do on my 9630?

Thx.

I don't think it is the OS problem. You better check with your manual or better call customer support. That is weird if you already deleted those voicemails and the icon still appears.

Do you use YouMail or PhoneFusion? If so, perhaps the "10 new voicemails" could be sitting in your Verizon mailbox (which wouldn't be accessed via your device IF you are currently using Youmail/PhoneFusion or a similar third party vmail app as they redirect you to their mailbox.)

Just a theory.. but haven't tested it.
