Anyone get this yet?

Curious to how it competes with the Jawbone 2..

I mean my JawBone 2 is still working great so I have no reason to buy a new.. other then fact it's new and is "better" but is it better?

It's available for purchase: The Best Jawbone Ever Created - Jawbone PRIME

I saw it available over at CB.com which it is why I'm curious if anyone's had the time try it yet..

A review from CB.com

Review: Aliph Jawbone PRIME Bluetooth Headset | CrackBerry.com

Seems nice.. I can't justify spending the money since the JawBone 2 has been working perfectly for me...

Had it for a few days. Couldn't get the earpiece to fit very well. Sound quality was definitely awesome. Not sure if it was any better than the jawbone 2 though. Maybe a little more volume and bass on the 3, but that's about it. Callers on the other end said it sounded pretty good.

I just picked one up yesterday. For me the audio on a call seems better - slightly - than the New Jawbone. Perhaps not worth the expense if you have a New Jawbone already ...

What "sealed the deal" for me is the new style earbuds (which are available separately and fit the New as well as the Prime). I was constantly bending the ear loops on the New and bought replacements in bulk as once bent I could never get them to fit right again. The new style earbuds allow me to wear the Prime without any ear loop, and they hold the sensor snugly against my cheek so it works better (the way it's supposed to work) - YMMV of course because we all have different ears.

I've spent more $$ than I care to think about searching for the Holy Grail of a BT headset that I really like. None have been perfect but the Prime comes closer than anything I have ever tried to date. My advice would be if you have the New Jawbone, get the new earbuds for it; if you don't, get the Prime.

the JawBone 2 had those same ear pieces, they were available for free from Aliph's website :(

I think I read somewhere the new Prime can connect to multiple BB's... That's the only plus I can find.. (I carry 2 BB's).

So would you say the call quality is noticeably better with the Prime?

Having now lived with the Prime for a week or so and used it on multiple calls - some under "trying" conditions, I would say that it is awesome - definitely better than the Jawbone New (2).

I can hear better on it than any of the other headsets I've ever had, and people on the other end can hear me in the middle of strong winds and truck traffic when that happens to be where I've been when I got the call.

I've only used the original Jawbone and it didn't work well for me - I think it's because the little white button didn't make contact with my face all the time - the folks on the other end said I would fade in and out.

Did anyone else experience this and notice an improvement with Jawbone 2 or 3 (New or Prime)?

Thanks.

Yes - that was my biggest problem with previous Jawbones. The first one was train wreck trying to get it on my ear, and once on I had a difficult time hearing what others were saying, and could never keep the white sensor in contact with my "jawbone".

Jawbone2 was better but still the ear loop seemed to work at cross purposes with keeping the white sensor against my jaw. I often hung up (by accident) as I would fiddle with it to make better contact because people on the other end couldn't hear me.

The Prime really fixes this - at least for my ears it does. The new earbuds not only hold it securely in my ear but keep the sensor pressed tightly against my jaw.

I have a whole desk drawer full of various BT headsets as I've looked for the "perfect" one. Until now none have come close to the Prime in terms of ease of "putting on" and function and the audio quality I "hear" from it. I've never had a single complain from anyone I've talked to about background noise or asking me to repeat what I said because they couldn't hear me.

That is about what you should expect for the newest one the Prime. To make sure you are getting the right one make sure you look for the one marked Prime. It will not be labeled Jawbone 3. However, it is the 3rd generation I believe. Retail is 129 or about I think.

I have the Prime but it is the first Jawbone I have owned. Always wanted one but couldn't get past all of the reviews complaining over fit issues. In my use, there are NO fit issues with the Prime. It fits snuggly and stays firmly in contact with the jaw. Without any ear loop it will stay in with normal activity, and with the earloop installed I can exercise with the darn thing and it will not move (not that I am going to actually exercise, but you get the point.)

I can't give comparision based on the other 2 previous models but I can say for me it was money well spent. (I could have bought a couple of them for the money I tossed at cheaper bt earpieces over the last couple of years).
