Default 8330 is Deleting Inbox Messages by Itself!?

Please Login to Remove!

I have a really weird problem, the other day things started going haywire. The problem is my handset is deleting Inbox messages by itself, I'm not deleting them. They disappear on their own!

Am not on a BES. I have Outlook at home set to retrieve messages and also the handset to retrieve as well. Whether I open, delete, or leave untouched at home seems to make no difference; handset still deletes all my Inbox after a couple hours. Keeps all my Sent messages though!

I am lost here, no rhyme or reason to this. I tried resending Service Books, deleting my email account through my provider's BIS and then re-creating the account from scratch. Same result.

Any ideas??????

Thanks in advance.

I've been having the same problem. I don't use Outlook, I use Windows Mail (Vista). My BB is deleting my inbox emails only, not SMS messages. It is even deleting saved email messages.

The free memory on my BB is 27 MB (27115644 Bytes). It's kind of low, but, I don't think it is at the "critical" stage.

My keep messages until setting is 30 days, similar to Skyguy.

One thing I do differently than some of you is that I turn my BB off every night. I think it gives a fuller charge by turning it off. When I turn my BB on in the morning, the previous day emails are gone.

I'll leave my BB on tonight (while it is charging) to see if turning it off is somehow causing the problem.

I hope someone could help me/us.

Another addition to your group!
The same messages were deleted from my Bell Nexxia server but are still on my desktop.
Very confusing and distressing for a non-technical user.
