Hi guys,

can anybody tell me that either i can use my blackberry 9800 backup file for anyther blackberry device...

i just resign to my job and my mobile was the property of the company which i gave them back and now might be i will be purchasing older modle or same so is it possible to use same backup file to restore my contacts into blackberry any of the model..

You can, but only IF the company allowed local backups. And only if you have access to those backup files. You can restore PERSONAL contacts and calendar appointments to a new device, but the information protected by any IT Policy will not be available.

your 9800 backup should work on any BlackBerry OS 6 and OS 7 device

going backwards I have never tried that
