Please Login to Remove!

Log into your VZW account, if you cannot order there call telesales and have them transfer you to internet order phonedepot, sounds crazy but that what i had to do. Would not let me order online or through CS, so after 10 calls i got it done that way, persistence my friend!!!!

to buy or not to buy? Should I hold on to my 7250 and wait to see if any 8703 issues are worked out, or should I just go ahead and upgrade?

Your thoughts, please.

No matter what I've tried (and I've called a billion times), I can't get this ordered with an early upgrade - any more concrete date on when this is going to be released to stores and CS than just "sometime in October"?

I called my local store last week and the guy thought that they were supposed to get the 8703e in this Monday or Tuesday. Can anyone else confirm that? Since it's internet only at this point...

Thumbs down Sync not supported on Mac yet...Big oversight.

This phone will not yet sync to mac. Having just taken delivery of my 8703e for Verizon, it does not appear to be supported by either RIM, Verizon or Pocket Mac. None of them will take responsibility for the device not syncing to a mac! Stay away Mac users until this issue is resolved!

A store in DC told me they wouldn't get them until October. When I got home I returned my Moto Q to the place of purchase. I ordered my 8703 at the store. They said it was in the warehouse for orders and the store stock is usually one week behind that.

I finally found out why I couldn't upgrade my phone online and the info may be helpful to others. Apparently, online sales uses the original zip code you used when you set up your original Verizon contract. For me, that was about 10 years ago. Even though my online login and my most recent Verizon contract uses my current zip code (we moved 6 years ago), I can't upgrade without using the original zip code (even though I can access my account online with my current zip).

So when you log on to verizonwireless.com, change the current zip code in upper left corner to your original zip code and then click upgrade and you'll see your choices. Hope this helps those of you who still can't access online upgrades.

Does Verizon really ship the phone via FedEx overnight? I ordered my 8703e last night after screwing around with 5 or 6 different reps for over an hour and a half. Hopefully they didnt screw my account up to bad.

They did for me. After I ordered online I called the Internet sales team and had them mark it for FedEx overnight. Cost an extra $12.00

Due to major issues, verizon's WDTS is sending me a brand new BB 7130e (in the original factory sealed box) to arrive Friday or Monday. I was also told that this device has the same 15-day worry free guarentee.

Question: How can I work this to my advantage? To get an 8703e?

Thanks, my one line is a different area code then my billing and yes that line wouldn't show me the upgrade, instead it came up with an error message, but I tried what you said and it now works, thanks again!

Just in case anyone else was wondering - was able to get this ordered through Customer Service today. Guessing it will be in stores as well tomorrow. Can't wait till it gets here!
