Default Had 25% battery left...

Please Login to Remove!

last night before I turned off my phone. 7 hours later when I woke up the battery was dead. Anyone else have this happen?

This is wierd because just last week i left my pearl on all night (the battery was almost dead) so that I could wait for it to totally die out and then charge it in the morning but it turns out the phone never died over night.

Maybe I have a defective phone?

was it on vibration? Maybe you were logged in on MSN through webmessenger or something and when you received a message it kept buzzing and that's why it died. I don't know.

My phone's battery dies down quick too, and I was just thinking that it was because I had been using the internet and had my phone on vibrate but now I really don't know.

I know your signal strength affects it too.... If you are in an area with little/no signal and it has to constantly attempt to "reconnect" that kills your battery pretty quickly (assuming you do not disable wireless).

yes being on opera would do that since its sending data back and forth. it sounds like your phone was not completely off. did you hit the off button or hold down the red power key until it shut off? the BB looking for service is the biggest drain of battery period i was in an area yesterday where it was in and out and that was the first time my BB battery has ever died on me. best bet is to shut off wireless in areas of poor service. here in Nyc i turn mine off when I'm in the subway or in a building since most buildings have no service

still surprising that it died so quickly - overnight with 25% battery seems a bit too quick even given the potential pitfalls listed above

Speaking of signal strength, I know how to check it and look at the number, but what number is considered very good signal strength?

Thats so weird, SAME exact thing happened to me last night also! Only I was at 40-50% battery. I had service, so it wasn't searching, and Opera was closed. I woke up this morning to a completely dead phone. It happened within 4-5 hours, which is very strange. First time this has ever happened to me with my 8100.

strange a few peoples 8100 died for the first time yesterday... Maybe there was in issue with T-mobiles signal that was causing extra battery drain? I know its out there to say but Mine has never died before during the day ever and yesterday it did

HE TURNED IT OFF.... with 25% battery, turned it back on in the morning and it was dead....

My last 25% went very fast yesterday (cingular). I had 25% and took one 20 min phone call and it about killed the battery.

hold the mute button at the top of the pearl and hold it in, it will go into stand by mode...you can still get calls and messages...it works for me...
