Default Best way to set up email?

Please Login to Remove!

I'm a longtime Blackberry user. Up until now, I've used a single email account for everything. It's a Gmail account which I forwarded to a vzw.blackberry address and then made the "reply-to" address my Gmail. This was perfect because I got my email instantaneously and was able to reply easily from my BB without people even knowing it was from a different address.

But, I just took on a new job and have another email address I need to use with it. What's the best way to set up this second address? Just set it up through BIS and check it through POP3? I'd rather get it immediately rather than having to reconcile every 15 min or whatever.

Am I explaining this well? Basically, what is the slickest way to be able to easily use two email addresses?

Thanks,
Steve

You explained it well. Your two options on BIS are just as you illustrated. I prefer the "pure" BIS method--not forwarded--but either will be fine as long as you can seamlessly reply from the correct email address, work or personal.

It does not bother me... It's a slight delay... about 15 min max depending on when it last polled..... Yup POP all da way!

I have 5 accounts coming in via BIS. Four work and one personal. No forward. Works like a champ.

The delay is not a problem to me. If someone feels they have to touch me in +/- 3 seconds, they have my number and can call me.

I use Sprint, and have my Yahoo email (premium paid account, not the freebie) which allows me POP3 access. I, like Dubdub, see nearly NO delay. It's basically instant. Perfect.
