Did any of you guys experience this? What did you guys do?
Last time I upgraded was in September of 2007 when the 8320 came out.

I was offered exactly the same via 611 this morning.
Several transfers and T-mobile reps later (after explaining I wasn't happy with the offer and that I'd cancel my contract and move to ATT), I was put through to the 'customer loyalty' department.
There I spoke to a lovely young lady who told me that losing me as a customer was the last thing they wanted, so they'd give me the advertised $199 for new customers price with a 2 year contract. On top of that they'd give me free priority shipping via UPS. I then asked if I could spread the $199 over my next 4 bill cycles and she said that unfortunately it wasn't available in my state, so she'd further discount my purchase by another $20 for the inconvenience. The $100 mail in rebate would also be instantly discounted so no hassle there.
So in all, I'm paying $179 for the 8900. I'm a very happy T-mobile customer - excellent customer service :D
For the record, I've been a T-mobile customer for 2 1/2 years and have upgraded mid-contract once before (pearl to curve). My monthly bill is never below $100.
