Default Issue accessing the options menu

Please Login to Remove!

So I have a weird problem with my Storm. When Im in the home screen and press the menu button and select options, nothing happens. But if I remove my battery and then when I turn on my phone, Im able to go into the options menu. But if I close the it and then try to access the options menu again, nothing happens. Basically, I have to remove my battery every time I want to do any changes in the options menu. Any advice on possibly fixing this bug?

One more thing, I'm a total BB noob and I notice in the memory menu a section that say application memory. I've noticed that the memory varies from 19MB to 39MB, can someone explain to me what's the total amount of application memory?

It's a bug. Happens to mine as well. We will have to wait until RIM fixes this with an O/S update.

Can't help you too much on the memory question. Though I believe the bb segregates memory into groups such as... System memory, application memory and possibly file memory things like ringtones, pictures, files and videos. All of this would be separate from what is on the micro sd card.

Yeah cause in the memory menu I notice a section for application memory, device memory and memory card. But what I don't understand, is why does the application memory vary when I have the same apps open.
