Default Sprint Curve - HTML Emails not loading

Please Login to Remove!

I know this has been discussed before, but I am brand new to the site and looking for some help.

I as many others here have mentioned can't view HTML emails on my Curve. I just get HTML links in text form.

How do I get these to load as they should?

thanks

You will need to install OS 4.5 on your device to view HTML email.

You can do so by following this link
http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...ilanguage.html

Afterwards you will need to log into your BIS account and resend your service books.

Let me ask this. When I get emails it I still have to click in the email and select the get images option for the pics to come in. Is this supposed to be what happens or am I missing something. I have the new 4.5 OS, I changed the options under the email settings, and I have also resent the service books. Are the pics supposed to be there when I open the emails or do I still have to request for them to be downloaded when I open the emails? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

If the pic is a link, you will have to select get images. If the picture is not a link it will show automatically when you have it set to do so.

I'll keep an eye on it but so far that never works. Everytime I get emails I have to ask the device to download the pics. Any other suggestions?

And that's how it is currently designed.

Images that refer to other websites will not auto-download. If for example you send yourself an email with a picture attachment, that should show automatically.

If the images are linked to the internet, then you will ALWAYS have to manually select "Get Images". This is a security feature.

Images that are embedded in the email will show automatically if you have that enabled.

I'm also on Sprint. If I were to upgrade from the stock OS to the newer 4.5 version, will I lose my Sprint programs, such as SprintTV, Pocket Express, etc? And will Empower Pro for email be of any use anymore?

Images may be used by spammers to grab your IP, so GET IMAGE option protects your privacy too, if you don't know the sender its better to avoid loading the images/hidden images, they might just be trackers.
