Does the BES 4.x SRP key work on 5.0 or is it required to have RIM update the key?

You need to get a temp key from RIM to run both at the same time. If you try to use your SRP key in 5.0, you'll lock yourself out. It's like crossing the streams in Ghostbusters. Egon says that's bad.

uhm, I took my BES 4.0 server down while I was in Colombia the past few months; it was I who was using it only. So I really won't be running BES 4.0 at the same time as I install 5.0! :o)

You forgot to mention that part in your original description. In that case, yes you can use your BES4.x key with 5.0.

By the way, If I understand it correctly... can I use my CALs installed on our current BES 4.1 in case we move to BES 5.0?

Or shall I buy the full set again?

BES 4.x CALs and BPS CALs will work fine.

SBE CALs are a differnet story.
