We have BES4.1 I guess.

How can I receive an alert on my blackberry when the BES is malfunctioning. can it send to my PIN?

How do you guys find out that BES is down?

I am looking for a way to get notified on my blackberry when our BES goes down. We have Exchaneg 2003 envoirenment with 300 BES users.

Sorry for the hijack, but this is an awesome example of a crappy thread title. The title should say, "How do i send a BES down alert?"

The current title make me think that the OP is posting an alert regarding an existing blackberry network problem. Even if I knew the answer to the OP's real question, I wouldn't post it.
