Default Firmware question

Please Login to Remove!

I have recently switched from an iPhone to the Bold 9900 and love the change,, especially the incredible keyboard and the screen is very good so no regrets.

Reception, signal, call quality and of course Emails are all far better than on the iPhone and these are the main reasons I changed.

I do notice there are many posts about different firmware and so I checked my version, my phone is currently running 7.1 bundle 1149 and despite the indications that there is a new version out when I hook up to desktop software and check it tells me I am running the current version and there are no updates!

Is this because there are updates specific to country code or what?

Just curious and in no need to upgrade as phone is running superbly.

Thanks

Default Re: Firmware question

Your carrier hasn't released a new update so none shows up.

Keep in mind that if your device works as you wan and need it to work, then it really isn't broken and doesn't need to be fixed with an OS update. Most are minor anyway but can cause your device to do funky things.

I agree if your BB is working fine I wouldn't worry about updating the os.
