I have searched high and low for this but did not find anything. Is there a setting on the phone where I could tell whether tethering is activated?

Its a corporate device and I have to call our corporate folks to see if it set up, was hoping to use it this weekend if it was activated.

I have read the faq and did this on my old pearl (which was a personal device), so I am familiar with how to actually tether, but didn't want to hassle with the tether if it is not set up.

If I am wrong, someone please correct me, but I don't believe there is any on screen indicator that will tell you if your device has been set up to allow tethering.

You will have to call your provider or IT people and see if they have any record of the device being configured.

Swerengen, you are correct. Only a few ways to know if its available, when you tether it works... or call your carrier.

thanks. Thought that was the case but wasn't sure. It would be nice to have that feature to be able to see it on the phone. Off to call the folks at VZW.
