Default Dead Camera: 8100

Hey guys, i'm getting this error now every time i try to activate the camera:

'Could not start the camera. Close other applications and try opening the camera again.'

Anyone know a fix? I've tried resetting and closing all other apps and nothing is working. I tried searching this issue too so if i missed I apologize.

Thanks,
sk

sk, you said you have reset, but have you pulled the battery and rebooted the BB (hard reset)?

Try a hard reset.

Is all your memory used up? Don't know if that matters but how much is free?

Probably time to reload the OS to the device. There is a sticky thread at the top of this forum with instructions and links to the latest OS. The latest right now is not a TMo release but will work fine on your device. It runs nicely on mine. TMo is releasing a new OS this week sometime but it's not yet out.

You need to check the "device" memory. Go to Options >Status and look at free memory there.

your card memory doesn't mean much in this case.
