I am trying to understand if AlertMatrix can support the user defining "normal", "night", "weekend" time slices. Or better yet, allowing the user to name the "time" mode" and allowing the user to set the time when that mode is active including defining active on weekends.

The context for use:
I want to vibrate all phone calls between the hours of 8am - 6pm during the weekdays and use a different blackberry profile for calls between 6:00pm - 8:00am.

It does define these slices, but requires you to manually place the phone in each mode.

AMX does not have the ability to change the current profile setting.

I was hoping the engine would match on a rule that caught the call coming in and within the rule it would check the time slice I defined and if all conditions were met it would use the profile I defined in the rule. I would set up separate rules to distingush between normal(8-6) and night (6-8). It would give the tool more flexibility. However. I will keep looking. Thanks for the reply.

My current AlertMatrix profiles:

Family Calls = Green Flag + Green LED
Missed Calls = Blue Flag + Blue LED

Family Emails = Yellow Flag + Purple LED

Family SMS = Yellow Flag + Purple LED
Missed SMS = Default Flag + White LED

Thanks to the excellent help dialogs and a few hours of play time, I pretty much have AlertMatrix down. While I have no issues with my text and email rule sets (they work like a charm), missed calls profiles seem to be a bit quirky. Profiled missed call alert dialogs appears as intended and properly flagged, but the LED color (green) does not follow the setting established in the profile. Reboots and reinstallations did not resolve the issue. Support email sent .
