I'd like a way to turn off the interruption of media player for texts and calls ... i take my BB running, listen to media/music, and never answer the phone - it is just annoying. I can set it to a silent profile but the music still stops while the phone vibrates, and often playback does not resume in the same spot (aggravating for podcasts!)

Is there a way to tell media player not to stop, no matter what?
or, alternately, any way to tell the BB to just ignore all calls and texts for a given amount of time?

Don't know about media player, but what about setting the Off profile? (Do you have an Off profile?)

No. I also have a profile named Off. It is a default theme, not custom. It turns off even the LED alert.



Do you not have a Vibrate and a Silent profile? I have both. Silent does not vibrate; but the LED alert is enabled. Vibrate is, of course, vibrate only for all apps.

Note I'm using an 8820 with 4.5. This may have changed. That's why I asked if the OP even has a off profile. If not, the solution might be to create one.

I would go to MANAGE CONNECTIONS and shut off your carriers signal. When you're done listening/running you can turn it on again and all the voicemails and text messages that were cued up when the phone was off should come through. I do this myself when I just want the alarm to ring w/o calls (i.e.: I use it as an alarm clock in a hotel room and don't want calls).

I have tried both 'all alerts off' and 'silent' (which is vibrate-only) - it still interrupts the media player.

If that is true, sounds perfect.
More than just 'snooze' I want a true 'offline' status, without turning off the BB.
