Lately it seems that the BB's are being manufactured all over the place. I'm curious where everyone's 8100 is made. In the Toilet Bath thread you can clearly see BES Admin's is made in Canada.

I was also wondering if RIM was doing something similar to Nokia. Towards the end of a product's lifecycle I have noticed that some Nokia phones have gone from being manufactured in Finland/USA/Germany/Hungary to other places like China/Mexico etc. Perhaps RIM has started doing this as well?

Hi! I just got my first BB & the phone was made in Mexico & the accessories was made in China, Canada & Japan.

It seems most are made in Canada. Where are you mexican made handheld owners located?

I think the initial batch was made in Canada, and the secondary batch, along with others are being made in Mexico.

I know new 8700R, 7130G etc. are all made in Mexico.

I just got back from a company visit to RIM and they gave us a tour of the manufacturing building. One line was doing 8700s and the other line was doing 8100s. We followed the whole process for the 8100s, it was pretty amazing.
