Default Tmo Silkscreen

Has anyone successfully taken the imprint at the bottom off? Mine's silkscreened crooked. Bugs me to no end; another one of those quality glitches.

I just got a new Pearl (because the mute button was broken on the first one I received) and on the new one the logo is crooked on mine as well. It kinda bugs me as well but I don't think I'm brave enough to try to take it off. I'd rather have a crooked logo then a bunch of scratches or a dull finish in one spot.

Have you considered exchanging it? I'm thinking about it.

I thought about it but, like I said, this is my 2nd Pearl already. I've given up on the idea that it should be flawless. The phone works so I'll just ignore the logo or eventually try my luck at removing it.

I used a penny worked perfectly. You have to push pretty hard. Amazingly there are NO scratches. It looks perfect.

Hey, I tried the penny trick and it worked. I did not see any scratches. The T-mobile imprint came off nicely. You can barely see it only if the phone is up close and you tip it at a certain angle. The ipod video (black) should have used this material instead of their easy scratch surface

My logo is crooked too. I noticed at work. Don't bother me to much, I'd rather have a crooked logo than grey spots on the camera like my first one.

Oh yeah, I also stopped at the local store on my way home and there display model had a crooked logo...

See my posts where I warn against removing the logo.

When I had a warranty return part of the warning that the CSR read from his computer screen included words to the effect that:

"Your phone will be covered on your T-Mobile warranty because your purchase is within one year of the date the phone was put into service. The warranty will cover the phone provided the phone you return to us indicates it is a T-Mobile branded phone, as indicated by the T-Mobile logo on the front of the phone..."

When he said that I thought to myself that I was glad I did not scrape off the logo like other BBF members had been doing.

True, there would have been other ways to tell it was a T-Mo phone [e.g., serial number, etc.], but why slow up the exchange process when the warranty dept. starts asking all sorts of questions when he or she sees there is no logo on the front of the phone.

Just something to think about.

On making a warranty claim because of a crooked logo, I'm not too sure the warranty covers that type of defect, assuming the alignment is not way off.

If you get a case for the Pearl the logo is covered up. That is an alteranate to removing it.

Hey san fran i think branded means when you reboot yor 8100 and you know how we have to wait for the spinning hour glass popps up then it says tmobile for about 30 seconds, i think thats what the CSR means.
