Default No 3G on Bold after 134 OS update..??

Please Login to Remove!

Hi. This very well may be related to the various data outages on the AT&T network today in the Northeast US, but I just updated my unlocked Rogers BOLD to the latest 134 build (around 4:30pm EST), and everything went very smooth. All my data was preserved and it us up and running fun after the update - but with no 3G right now. I am in an area that usually has "OK" 3G signal - not always the best, bu not bad. But right now I have "EDGE" and everything is functioning fine, but no sign of 3G. I checked my Mobile Network settings and it is set to "2G and 3G".

So - maybe this is just an issue with AT&T right now? Has anyone experienced inconsistant (or zero) 3G after updating to 134? Is there something I should be looking for?

Thanks guys.

My first guess would be ATT. I updated to .134 this afternoon and I haven't noticed any changes to my 3G connection. I am in New York.

I am on the Rogers default OS, in downtown Toronto and rarely get 3G from my 27th floor office, but get strong 3G on the ground. There is multipath interference, which effects voice calls, so I presume that 3G drops down to edge when it cannot get a clean signal. I think its a 3G thing. 3G may need a clean signal to support the higher data flows.

I'm the opposite! I haven't been able to get 3G connection ever since yesterday late afternoon (I'm in Toronto btw)...I can only connect to the internet through wifi I'm still wondering if I should do the 134 though since I've read so many horror stories...kinda scared hahaha

ATT had a 3G outage yesterday on the East Coast that pretty much lasted all afternoon. That could explain why you only got 2G service
