Question Running 4.1 gives you a multiple mailboxes?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey guys,

Im confused. I just read this post: http://www.blackberryforums.com/showthread.php?t=35956

Now if 4.1 on TMO is supposed to give you multiple mailboxes - then cant I separate my HOME email into one mailbox and my WORK email in another? Is this possible?

If it is possible, to separate them, where does it get configured - on the BES server or on the BB device?

Thanks,

not possibly if your work email is coming from a BES

BES email goes to the messages icon; BIS email goes there as well as seperate folders (if your running 4.1 handhled code and BIS 2.0)

I do not believe you can send BIS email exclusivly to the mailbox, it will auto populate in messages AND duplicate in your BIS icon. I've been looking for a way to seperate the two, i have not found it yet

If you are on BIS 2.0 you will have inboxes for each account on your BB's screen. You can hide the extra icons. All email goes to the Messages inbox.

That's funny... This is one of the cooler features of BIS 2.0. I dig the multiple mailboxes...

Highlight the icon, click the trackwheel and the ALT key and choose "Hide Application" from the dropdown menu.

Default Help: I'm missing multiple mailboxes

Hi

I have 4.1 and BIS 2.0. I set up bb to receive gmail. I don't see a separate inbox/folder to direct my gmail to. Can someone help?

bb is set up for enterprise. does that matter? I can't figure out how to create a separate inbox for my personal e-mail.

thx.

having enterprise shouldn't matter...for me all i see is a separate entreprise icon along with my personal gmail icon

try logging into the BIS site and make sure your emial settings are showing up

all i did was log into the BIS site and set up my gmail from there

once i did, my BB automatically displayed the gmail email icon (folder) within a minute

i then got an email saying congrats you set it up you'll get email within 20 mins
