Hi all. I am trying to transfer a few songs to my phone, however i have no memory card and wont have one till Monday. I have been advised against filling your internal memory up as it can effect performance. But I only want one or two songs on till Monday to keep me going... I have around 150mb free so that's no problem, however when trying to transfer, the desktop manager thing says there is a limit of around 2.6mb... for some reason. How can I get around this please.

It is best to use a memory card but with limits and removal after you get the memory card you should be ok if the music is less than the 2.6 mb shown. The limit is as any computer based device. Without room to move data around when operating the device will lock up.

why dont you sing to yourself until Monday.

yes... however i have more than enough room... its just that the desktop progam i got with my fone wont let me transfer more tan 2,something megs..... even though i have more than enough space...

Yet I have over 150mb free andobviously a song is more than 2.83mb. help pleeez, how can i get around this??? dont say get media card, cos i can't yet.

Are you trying to do it via bluetooth?

no, just via cable thruj my pc using the media manager

Media manager will not allow a file larger that 2.86mb. You have no other option except to use a memory card.

The BlackBerry smartphone memory has a file size limit of 2.86MB. Files larger than this limit cannot be transferred to the BlackBerry smartphone.

thankyou, that seems a bit daft to be honest since i got over 150mb free. but thanks... just more money which needs to be forked out for little or no reason. what a con.

ive ended up halfing the tunes with mp3 splitting software and uploading em like that... takes more than that to con me out of money.

Itxxx8217;s not a Con, The processor needs space to move data around. Every computer has a swap space. All their doing is protecting that space.
