I am setting up tasks on a blackberry for a user but after the initial alert if no one responds there are no more audible alerts only the light flashes and I will like the alert to repeat until someone acknowledges it.
When I go into: profiles-messages-Edit the only option for repeat notification is LED Flashing.
Does anyone know how to add another category to the repeat notification field or how to make a task repeat audible on a blackberry 8700.

You can't do what you want. You can set the tone for 1, 2 or 3 "beeps" and that's it as far as the audible alert. Of course there will be a window on the display for the user to dismiss or snooze.
