Is it BES? You have had an IT Policy pushed to your BB. It will be much harder to clean than you expect. First, before your work removes you from their BES, ask them to push a "blank" IT policy to your BB.

They will also remove the email, etc., from pushing to your BB.

What would happen if I just wiped the BB??? Could I back up my phone book?

Wiping it will remove the work email but if an IT Policy was written to the phone a wipe will not remove it.

So is there anyway I can remove the it policy myself? Now that I added the email to the phone, my job will probably want me to keep it...

If it's your personal device the link to remove policy is below. If it's the companies device then you are risking your employment by removing it.

Good Luck!

If you want to keep your work email than the IT policy will have to stay. Even if you remove it, it will get pushed right back to your BB as soon as it connects with your BES. The only workaround would be if you can access your work email via POP. But then your email will no longer be push.

I'm using opera mini 4.0 and The error I'm getting is saying "Failed to connect to the internet" I can get on to Myspace, and get on to some friends pages, but not other's pages and i get that "failed to conect to the internet" error message. Is this an IT setting? It started a little bit after I set up my email. or is this a issue with opera mini. I found this on opera's forum

"Failed to connect to the Internet" => "check APN"
I noticed that if someone says "My opera mini says Failed to connect to the Internet, what should I do?", someone answers "Check your APN settings.". But everyone forgets that OM4 uses *only* domain name when connecting to transcoder (OM2 used only IP, OM3 used both) and needs DNS servers to be set correctly.

Opera Mini 3 :
- Socket server.operamini.com
- Socket 12.34.56.78 (I can't remember the actual IP)
- HTTP server.operamini.com
- HTTP 12.34.56.78
So if DNS fails, OM still can connect using IP address of proxy.

Opera Mini 4 tries to connect in this order:
- Socket server4.operamini.com
- http://server4.operamini.com
...and if DNS fails, phone doesn't know wtf is server4.operamini.com and so can't connect.

So always (especially if OM3 works and OM4 doesn't) check what DNS server(s) are set.
In case you don't know what to set, you can try these:
OpenDNS: (all over the world) 208.67.222.222, 208.67.220.220
Teo LT: (Lithuania) 212.59.2.2, 212.59.1.1
...or ask your provider.

p.s. what does "java.io.IOException DNS error" mean? (builtin browser works fine with same settings)

Is the DNS server a BB setting??? if so, How do i change it?

The second choice is normally correct.
