Smile Basic RSS question

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,
I've installed the VIIGO RSS reader (Curve 8310) and I have to say I'm impressed.

However, I've got some spin off questions which I suppose reflect my lack of RSS knowledge:

1) I see that NASA have an "image of the day" RSS feed (http://www.nasa.gov/rss/image_of_the_day.rss). Why will this not 'work' with VIIGO? Does VIIGO only handle text only RSS?

2) what about pod casts? I assume a podcast is simply an RSS with an audio track. Do you need a special (more advanced?) RSS reader to handle these kind of tracks?

...probably asking dull/the wrong questions

thanks in advance

Joel

On your first question...choose "Open in browser" instead of "Full article" from the full menu.

Can't help with the podcast question.

1. It depends how the content publisher publishes their RSS feed. Sometime you will see images in the summary of the article, and sometimes you won't.

2. At the present time, Viigo does not support audio.

Thanks,
Pete

thanks for the posts.

Interestingly I hear on the rumour mill that VIIGO may well be able to handle audio (podcasts?) in the new version/product Tango?
