8. Take advantage of the accompanying chaos to loot an iPhone.
9. If you experience feelings of murderous rage, remember: incompetent buck-passing millionaire executives are people, too.

pfft. i have no peace and quiet. i got several hundred frantic phone calls from reps. i was on the phone all day, and i NEVER talk on the phone. its always email

Fortunately the outtage wasn't all that long in duration. At least not that I noticed on my BB service

The one guy on the Yahoo story who said that Blackberry should provide him with another device like a iphone or a treo just in case of an outage should be shot. Nobody is that important. You have to admit that the downtime has been minimum for the most part. Didn't everybody do their jobs before we had them, so you can cope for a bit and function without them. Enjoy the peace and quiet. My drive home last night was nice and quiet.

It is amazing that our world has advanced (or regressed) to the point that the inability to receive email for a few hours could cause such distress. I understand that people's businesses rely on it, but it seems to be to the point where it causes undo anguish. I guess that's why they call it Crackberry.

My number 1 tip, which I'm sad to say I'm using more and more lately, is to keep my old Nokia E61i charged and handy. I can still check my .Mac email that way and I get all my messages. Then Blackberry can just p!ss off until they get their head out of their arse.

I like keeping up with Symbian s60. My overwhelming preference is for the Blackberry OS, but when it craps the bed it's nice to have an interesting alternative.

I never have any issues with service, well here in the UK anyway!, I just get 50 emails from dataoutages.com on my 2 blackberry's in the middle of the night!!
