Default Setting the side convenience key to turn on bluetooth

Please Login to Remove!

Is there a way to customize what the side convenience key does on the 8820? I want to be able to turn bluetooth on and off with this key instead of having to go into the options menu.

In options, there is the 'set-up bluetooth' as an option but this doesn't just turn on bluetooth. It attempts to pair with a new device. I just want the on-off option. Is this possible?

Wirelessly posted (8130 Curve)

I don't know of a way to do that, but would like too. The closet I found was set it to manage connections so I would not have to navigate there. You probably already know this though.

If it is not listed as one of the assignable funtions for the side key then you can not. It does allow you to access the "Manage Connections" which gets you closer but I have that icon on my home screen.

You most likely don't REALLY want it to turn on/off your bluetooth with one push of the button. The side convienance key on the 8820 is way too easy to hit by accident. It would most likely be more of an annoyance if it could turn it on and off with one push. It wasn't designed as well as the 83xx in my opinion. Set it to 'manage connections' if you use it that frequently.
