I have a Blackberry set up with BIS. If I go abroad I start paying roaming rates. How do I make sure that I don't receive attachments when I am roaming abroad in order to avoid paying costly GPRS rates.
I don't see anything on the BIS web page that allows me to do this?
With my SPV device I could set it to download headers only and then choose to download the remainder of the email at my leisure.
just dont downlaod them. it will not charge you extra for having them there if you dont click "open attachment". the BIS only sends the first 2kb of an email anyway. it autodownloads the rest when you click on more link or when you scroll down.

not a problem at all. BIS only sends whats requested, which is why BB is still king of email. its all about economy. saves battery life and roaming charges in this case
