Duplicate Calendar Issues

Here is the problem I am having. I have my work calendar being sync via Desktop manager since I don't not have a BES server. My work e-mail is then being synced via BIS. If I get an e-mail on my phone that is an invite to a meeting it automatically puts it on my BB even though I didn't accept it on my phone. When I then go to sync it on desktop manager I now have two calendar items on my BB one showing coming from "Desktop" the other saying it came from my BIS e-mail account and they are for the same thing at the same time. How do I only allow the items from "desktop" to show on my calendar?
