1. If it is unlocked, it will work fine on Tmo.
2. Yes.
3. Not so great. You will need an 81xx, 83xx or 9000 for better multimedia. The 8700 is fine for pictures and music (average quality mp3 playing).
4. Dependable email, and the 8700 is a rockhard device. Check BlackBerry.com for a spec sheet.

Alright one last question. All the pictures I see don't show the back... does the 8700c have a camera? Before I had a unlocked Cingular phone similar to the Voyager(I think, its a new one from sprint) and even though it accepted multimedia messages, it had no phone and I could never receive picture messages. As soon as I got an actual T-Mobile phone, I could take/send/receive picture messages. Does that mean I will have the same problem with an unlocked phone from Cingular or would I be able to take/send/and receive multimedia text messages?

Also thank you, I joined after reading a topic about whether or not people would go back to a 7290 after buying a 8700c =)

Wirelessly posted (8320 Titanium)

No camera...I don't know about picture messages...never use them so I can't answer...but for multimedia, you don't want an 8700 series..no media card so there is very limited space for music and video.

The 8700 does MMS or pictures messaging, whatever carrier you are on. That is dependent on your having a Data Plan from your carrier whether ATT or Tmo. Unlocked does not affect it.

1) Is the 7290 better for multimedia?
2) If I do not get Wireless Internet and therefore I would not browse the net, would a 8700c still be a perfect choice or would a 7290 suffice?
3) Should I get a 8700c for 80$ or two 7290's for 80$?

Should I get an unlocked 8700c or just buy a 8700g?
