There is nothing directly for the handheld itself, but there is a simulation program that does something similar. The simulator is part of the JDE which can be found on blackberry.com then click on Developers at the top right. They do not have a simulator for the 7130e, though ... but they do have the other handhelds, and with a little work, you can enable the Verizon 7130e theme for another of the 7100 first-gen models.

it's shocking (to me) that a device on the level of the 'berry has not received (even 3rd party) support for screen capture. inclusion is SDKs is standard, of course, but with many potential error codes and glitches in a developing platform, one would expect there to be some handheld-accessible solution.

perhaps now with better screens, MMS support and more broad-based consumer usage we'll see this feature on hardware soon. maybe even an included OS feature? <~ ideal

Talking Yes there is screen capture software for BlackBerries!

Use JavaLoader.exe to get screen captures directly from any BlackBerry.

Example command-line: JavaLoader.exe -u screenshot C:\screencapture.bmp

Enjoy

That is so cool!

Thanks for the info on the JavaLoader command, d_fisher. I'll be using it a lot with my tutorial writing.

It should be noted that the Javaloader.exe from the JDE is version 4.1

I was trying with 4.0 and wasn't getting this. Awesome addition to javaloader!

It only works apparently with the 7100. I am not even sure if it is only with the new 7105. I know it does not work on a 7250, 7290, and now a 7230.

***UPDATE***

Now that I have the newer OS 4.02.41 from Verizon installed on my BB I was able to use javaloader to take a screenshot, here it is:
