Default Create new Calendar on device

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 9000 with att service using BIS, not BES. I have the one calendar on the device that was automatically labeled with the first (and only, thus far) email address I enabled for the device. I don't use that particular gmail account for calendar purposes, so that is a bit of a pain.

I would like to do a few things.
First, I would like to add a calendar for another gmail account, but not have that email pushed to the device.

Second, I would like to add a calendar is not to be synced, or attached to an email address of any kind.

Is this possible with the blackberry? I thought that it was, but i have gone through all the settings I could find and have found no "create new calendar" option.

Thanks for your help

Wirelessly posted (BB 8330)

Every email account you add is associated with a calendar, nothing you can do. Only one will sync with outlook. After you add all your accounts clear your calendar via the DM and pick one as your default. This is the one that will sync. You can always separate them and have up to 10 but you just can't sync them.

Forgive my newbie question, but how would I seperate them? I went and created a new email account and everything worked. From what I can tell, the BBcalendar app seems to aggregate the events from all the available calendars and display them all, even preventing overlapping entries from different calendars.

Edit: is there any way to accomplish that from within the blackberry?
