Default Transfering files from BB to computer

Please Login to Remove!

I have a 9000 Bold with stock apps. I recently lost my SIM card and can't seem to find a way to transfer a text file from the BB to my computer running BB DM Vn 4.7. Is there a way to do this either using Bluetooth or via cable using DM?

Where do you have the text file stored?

Are you able to email the text file to yourself?

That may be difficult to do without the SIM card

If it is on your media card, you can enable mass storage mode and move the file from the media card to the PC via Windows explorer.

If it is on the device memory, you would need to use DM with Roxio Media Manager.

I had a report typed out in an email form and also cut and paste it into memo pad.

Was travelling across international border in a Audi A6 to be specific and was swapping SIMS between phones. The SIM slipped out of my hand and it seems it found it's way between the seat belt anchorage and the the seat. Not possible to retrieve.

Do you have a media card in the device? Are you running OS 4.5? Do you have Docs To Go installed on the device?

If so, save a blank word document on your media card. Go into Docs To Go and open the blank document. Copy the text from the saved email/memo pad and paste it into the blank document and save it. Then you can move the document from the device to your PC.
