Roxio Media Manager - NSFW
Please Login to Remove!
I used to have a friend who worked at a retirement home as some type of nurse. She was not the greatest friend ever, but for some reason one of my good friends liked her a lot and she just became one of the group. We were all still in high school and she was twenty-two or three, so having her around was pretty sweet. She was our chauffeur, bought us alcohol, got us into bars and clubs, she had all the hook-ups. She was a bit on the chunky side and wasn't very charismatic, but all the cool stuff she could do made up for it.
Anyway, she used to tell us stories about what it was like working in this retirement home. One of the sickest of all was a story about constipation. Apparently, some of these older folks would get really backed up and every now and then the staff would find them in their rooms covered in poopies because they were trying to pick it out of their butts with their fingers. The staff used to call it "digging". Well, this is what I call trying to get media off of my Blackberry using the Roxio Media Manager. What a POS.
I know what you're thinking, "Wow man, chill out, it's not that bad!". Well, it is. I have an i7 with 6GB of RAM, win7 64 bit (doesn't really matter I guess since Roxio is 32), two solid state HDs, and every other top of the line piece of hardware you can think of and this POS software still freezes and ends up "Not Responding". I love people. That is why I think of my laptop as one of these elderly people. I think of Roxio Media Manager as the hard turd and the broken down bowels. Sounds gross, I know, but don't blame me, it's Roxio's fault for bringing up my past. I would never have remembered that story if it wasn't for them.
Until next time...

That is what I use now. I will never touch the RMM again.
And, of course this post was necessary... You expect me to carry the burden of that knowledge all by myself? Help a guy out.

Why don't you just enable mass storage and drop your files to sd?

Good for him. Roxio is rather laggy and resources hungry for what it is.

As far as analogies go, I think this has to be the worst one I've ever heard.
