Question Feedback Squeal

Please Login to Remove!

I just replaced my first 8700 because of feedback I would get from the headset (High pitched squeal that would occur intermittently as I brought it to my ear ) I just got the replacement and it seems to be doing the same thing. I didnt see any similar posts....so I am wondering if mom forgot to mention the metal plate in my head! Any ideas?

It might be the way you are holding the phone. I have had this problem twice now, and the solution was to move my hand. If you've got your hand cupped under the phone, it seems as though the audio is picked up from the speaker, and then the feedback occurs. A second solution would be to turn down the speaker volume just a little. That might also help.

I have a similar issue as yourself climber.

When I am near my computer - I get shreaking squeals that is extremely high pitched (to the point where my facial expression is all squinted and squiggly.)

Wasn't aware that hand positioning may make a difference.

WIll try this Vid.

Regards,
dolo

Alright, now, the noises created by GSM based cellphones next to amplified speakers have NOTHING to do with what you are doing with the phone at the time, or how your holding it. It happens to be that GSM based cellphone communicate at a frequency that affects most amplified speaker systems. The noise is usually quite loud, and even if you turn down the speakers the noise is still loud. This is not a sign that something is braking or worse. It's normal. If when using a computer and using the phone becomes bad, turn off, not turn down, but turn OFF the powered speakers.

I still get the squeal when my BB is in my briefcase almost 10 feet away. It's quite annoying. Is there anything that can be done about this.
