Default Two Email Accounts through Gmail to Blackberry

Please Login to Remove!

Hey,

So I two email accounts. One is my person Gmail, and my other is my Schools email. Currently, I have them both set up separately on my blackberry as different accounts.

I am getting fed up now though with our schools online email service, and have set up Gmail to receive and send those emails. However, now when I get an email to my school account, I get it both through Gmail and the School account on my Blackberry. I've tried setting up filters through Gmail, but none of them seem to work.

I've considered deleting my schools email from my blackberry, but I dont want to do that incase I need to reply or send using that account.

Thanks, Chris

the filter must be placed on the incoming email account. Also don't forward the school email. leave it on the Gmail server and check it. Not the best approach but unless the filter can be set up you will have no other options.

If you add an external email address (in the [email address]) to an email filter in BlackBerry Manager, the address is not affected by the filter rule.

In the normal environment, email addresses are in the format
<user@domain.com>.

Thus, enter external email addresses in their entirety, as in the following example:

FriendlyName <user@domain.com>

You can use wildcard characters as well, as in *user@domain.com.

I think I got it now. I added a filter within the BIS on my gmail account telling it not to forward emails from my school account to the device.

Thanks for the help @tsac!
