Hi guys, I just bought my first Blackberry (8700r) and am having some trouble performing some really basic functions... one of which is how the bloody hell do I erase the address book? I imported the wrong database via the sync tool and I need to start again. Any hints? Also, things like copying images from my laptop to the BB, I cannot find how to do that... or do I need addon s/w?

Cannot transfer pics via usb cable without a program. there are several available on this site. To delete the address book, you might be best to selectively back up the device and then wipe the device and do a restore.

Connect to Desktop Manager. Select Backup/Restore, then advanced. Highlight Address Book and click Clear.
