I was just hunting through my modem settings, and noticed it goes up to 921600 bps.

I went for it...not sure how much faster it is, if at all.

the speed at which you connect, over USB, has NOTHING to do with the bandwidth you get once you are connected.

Unless you're being capped by your negotiated speed? I was previously running 115200 since I thought it was the maximum allowed by the OS, which would have meant I couldn't break 115.2 kbps. I'll test it later on DSLReports.
