Default 8700c - Receiving MMS messages?

Please Login to Remove!

Hey everyone-

I have an 8700c & am running the Zen theme. The other day a friend of mine called me to ask if I'd received a picture he sent me from his phone (Verizon if that makes a difference). I hadn't, and asked him to resend. He tried 3 more times, but I never got anything on my end.

Do I have to change any settings on the unit to accept MMS? I'm thinking this must have a simple fix- I just don't know what it is....can anyone help?

Currently, Cingular BlackBerry users cannot recieve MMS. Everytime someone sends me one, it gives me a website to go to and I can view it from there.

Default Mms

A day or two after I got my 8700c my sister sent me a picture message. I got the txt message with the website that I should visit to see the message. After calling Cingular to find out why I didn't get the full MMS message, they made some changes to my account and since then, I haven't gotten anything. I no longer get the txt messages with the website. Even if they don't support MMS now, I would at least like to get the txt message.

You can send pictures from BB to BB... via Blackberry Messenger. It works perfectly on my 8700c.. despite info claiming otherwise.

Doesn't their 7130C support MMS? I could swear that the advertising for that model on Cingular's site claimed support.

The 7130c does support mms...I assume you have to have a plan that allows for mms, if you just have a regular text message plan it will send you the website to view the picture.

I just noticed an MMS Client Service Book on my Cingular 8700. I don't recall seeing it before.

I don't see any option in the menu for MMS..

tell your friend to email the mms to you instead. from your friend's phone, mms option/send as email to your email add. see if that works? thats how we do it on tmo ;)
