Hi,

I'm a newbie BB user and still in the process of familiarizing myself with it. I always categorize my contact lists but with the BB couldn't find a way to do this other than editing each contact one by one and assigning the category each contact belongs in. Isn't there an easier way to do this? Can't I pick multiple contacts and put them all under a certain category? Any help would be highly appreciated.

If you are synching with outlook you can do it in outlook and then synch back to the BB and you are done.

No problem I found that to be the easiest and fastest way of doing it.

On your phone as well, you can just get into 'Edit' mode for a contact and then click in the track wheel. You will see a menu item for 'Categories' and can edit the categories there.

Yes you can but he wanted to be able to do it in a way that was quicker than doing one by one on many contacts, so it is faster and easier to do in outlook and then synch it to the bb.
