i just got a 7100 from cingular the other day, and now i have a chance to have a 7290. what 1 would u choose and y??

That depends on the features you want/need. Personally, 7100g. All the features I want, I never really needed most of em, but now you can take them away when my corpse turns to dust. Plus a slim package so nobody stares at me like they do my wife, she has an 8700c

The 7290 is solid and its a lot easier to use qwerty than suretype in my opinion I have the 7290 I love it it all depends on what you want the screen is nice on the 7290 its not a bad phone the only difference is the 7100 is more of a phone
