I downloaded and installed the 2007 DST Patch from RIM and everything worked fine. Unknown to me, and after the fact, our corporate IT Admin pushed the patch as well. My device time advanced another 1 hour after the push from the BES. If I schedule an all day event in the Notes calendar, it comes up 1:00am on event date to 1:00am on the following day.

I now show Options> 2007 DST Patch> 2007 DST patch applied. and Options> Advanced Options> Applications> net_rim_bb_timezoneotapatcher ver 2.3.

Can anyone confirm from my description whether I indeed have both patches in play at the same time? Also, I tried to delete the net_rim application and was denied due to IT policy.

Just load up the DESKTOP MANAGER and add/remove an application. The manager will find Net_rim_bb_timezoneotapatcher and remove it for you. Then check under options again to find the status of your Patch

Tried that. IT policy prevents deletion. Admin says they removed the policy but Desktop Manager still will not remove it. Any other ideas?

Have them resend the IT policy and give it about 10-20 minutes, then try it. Just because they changed your IT policy doesn't mean it's been applied yet.

It's been a couple of hours since "removal of IT plicy". Still getting:

1. don't be proactive and actually patch your blackberry before IT does. IT hates proactive people ;)

2. Check into your Options/Applications and see if you have a TimezoneOtaPatcher in there, or something to that meaning. If you do, try deleting it.

3. get IT to backup/wipe/restore your device. Instead of looking for a solution it probably will be better to just start fresh.
