7230 Fried my train ticket?

I have had a trawl round the web and this forum and found nothing. My company uses a bunch of 7230's for it's chosen few (me included). Anyway, one of the chosen few has complained that since she got her BB her train ticket (london underground) has stopped being 'read' by the automatic entry gates. She has been having to get her ticket replaced once a week and the station staff are not happy.
She is blaming her blackberry as she stores it in the same bag as her ticket. Now I am sure it is a powerful device when the wireless is turned on (anyone who listens to the radio with one less than a yard or two from it will agree with me), but can it really damage the magnetic stripe on the back of a rail ticket?
My only suggestion has been to turn the wireless off when she is not using it (as we do not use them for recieving voice calls) and seeing if that makes a difference.
