Question Browsing Blackberry Forums - 05-04-2008, 07:12 AM

This has been happening for about two weeks, when using the browser on my BB and going to BB Forums website it crashes my BB. This only happens when I go to BB Forums website on my BB. When I vistit BB Forums its fine but as soon as I click on a link such as "media or 8700" the hour glass starts and will not stop even after I exit the browser. I have to then do a battery pull. This does not happen on any other site. Any ideas what this might be?

No not that. When I first load blackberry forums the homepage its fine. But as soon as I click on a link such as "Media or 8700 discussion" anything going into a specific forum it will not load and I get the hour glass that just wont stop. The only thing I can do is do a battery pull to end the hour glass. It only happends when I enter a specific forum on blackberry forums. This just started happening two weeks ago never before.

Wirelessly posted (8310; The Juggernaut)

Very strange, I don't notice that on the wap site.

I tried it on the blackberry browser and then went to bookmarks and added it under wap bookmarks and got the same thing. Really strange. This has never happend before. Ive had T-Mo and Sprint and this just started last month. I cant even click on a link to download wallpapers or 8700 forum. Maybe its the Sprint OS 4.2? Any other sprint cutstomers having this issue?

I can browse the WAP site just fine on both my 8830 (with 4.2 OS) and on my 8130 (with 4.3 OS). No problems.

Just to confirm, are you going to the site Penguin listed above with 'wap' in the address?

I'm sure 'WAP' is an acronym for something, but basically it is a mobile friendly version of a website.

Found it: Wireless Application Protocol - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
