Hats off to Lunkhead!

I don't usually post this kind of stuff but this was worthy of a separate mention. Lunkhead was graciously given a BlackBerryForums stamped Fortte Leather Pouch for a Curve by the owner of BlackBerryForums.com as a small thanks for all the volunteer work that he's done here. Instead of keeping it he put it up for auction here on the forum with proceeds going to help BBF Member, and dataoutages.com owner, "Audit" with repairs to his home in Michigan. A tornado ripped through their neighborhood and, although their home was still standing, they incurred many broken windows and lots of water damage. Their neighbors BBQ even took out their big screen TV. High medical bills have been hitting them hard in recent years and this storm was a devastation their family. A thread was started by JSanders for donations and close to $2000 has been raised to help repair their home and their life.

The Fortte case that Lunkhead put up for auction is up to $100 and bidding is still open.

Kudos to Lunkhead for this gesture of generosity and to all those who have helped with contributions to someone in time of need.

This makes me proud to be a member of BlackBerryForums.com. Thanks to everyone.

Edit: Oh yeah, and a bunch of almost brand new Wilson RaquetBall gear!! It's hard to keep track of it all!! Thanks Lunk!

Thanks everyone.... It's the least I could do... Wish I could have done more....

The racquetball gear is free for me every year... It cost me nothing, and Wilson was kind enough to allow me to do this with the gear... I auctioned off my 2009 gear (new stuff) so all I am out is shipping fees to it's proud new owner.... And I have to play for another year with my old gear...

The BBF Case is sweet! I hate to part with it, but I am very pleased it went for $100...

The 4 hours of part time work pay I donated is nothing.... It's an easy $25 an hour for a measly 4 hours.... No big deal as I use this as my play money.... Some don't have the luxury of play money as they deal with getting their life back in order...

Thanks for all the kind words everyone... I would like to thank JSanders for starting the original thread, Janice B for purchasing my new gear, and MeesterA for the generous offer of $100 for the case!!!! Also huge thanks to everyone here at the BBF....!

BBF is a great community that is loaded with some of the best people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting!!!!

Big props to Audit as well... He provides a valuable service to all us BB'ers and he does it for free!!!!!! It's easy to help people of his caliber!!!!
