Default Text slow - 05-02-2009, 10:13 AM

Not sure whats going on but when I enter a reply it takes for ever for the text to show up before I can post. Its like there a delay or a lag. I visit 6 other forums daily and this is the only one I experience it on.

Odd, I've never experienced that.

Typing lag is almost always associated with the local workstation. Check task manager when it happens and see what your CPU is doing.

Typing lag can also be from a poorly coded onKeyRelease() function of the site, or a browser add-on that is not compatible with the Rich Text Editor plug-in being used (most often a spell check plug-in).

As was posted above, check the processes first. Then try running the same page in a different browser on the same machine.

If you are using IE under Properties, Advanced, click restore defaults but be sure to uncheck "Reuse windows when launching shortcuts".

Dawg, if you load the same page in a different browser, does it have the same issue?
