Would it be possible to split out the media sub-forum into two fora: one dedicated to enhancements to the blackberry itself (themes, ring tones, etc) and one for using the blackberry to store and play back media (movies, music, etc)?

Granted that wallpaper and photos would overlap, but who listens to ring tones on a car ride?

I dont see this site as much focused as other sites on media. I see this site as more device oriented

Same here, I see us as more of Device/How-To/Help website..

But we do have over 300+k members, maybe that will start shifting..

(but I don't pop-in the Media forum enough to pass good judgment on the question)

I stopped popping into the Media forum unless I'm looking for something very specific. Right now, about 3/4 of the first 100 threads are themes, wallpaper, or ringtones. While I enjoy customizing my BB, I prefer to actually use it. (Does that officially make me a curmudgeon?)

I've used the Media forum to learn about third party players of one sort or another and ask about playback issues, but there's just too much to wade through to bother browsing it.
